London's Monument to Money

We where in London this month and while my husband was doing some work stuff I thought I'd have a look at the swishest, newest building in London, The Shard.

Actually, I hadn't done any research, I just turned up and on chatting to security I learned that it was in fact now open to the public inspite of nothing actually being in the tower yet appart from the viewing platform and the toilets that service it.

So I said to myself that if it only costs a couple of quid then it would be nice to go up and have a look. I had been up in The Monument a few hours before and it's never fails to delight me. I was a bit sick in my own mouth when I saw it was one hundred bangers to buy a ticket on the door. If I had a camera I would have taken a picture. The advance tickets are a snip at only twenty five quid but are sold out until May.
