I Heart RA

Seven architectural practices from six countries and four continents. 23,000 square feet. 72 days. One monumental exhibition!

Can I tell you how awesome this sounds?! I'm going to London this summer and I'm totally bummed out that we're going to miss this show at the Royal Academy.

'Sencing Spaces - Architecture Reimagined' I thought was going to be a bit like Richard Wright's gorgeous ceiling in the Rijksmuseum but upon reading more I realised that it was so much more.
Some institutions are interactive and others are plays on light and space. One installation places the viewer on a platform, face to face with cherubs and fruit garlands while another are just rooms inside rooms.

I can not say how jealous I am of anyone that goes to see this show. I think it would be awesome. For now though I'll just have to get in to my cardboard box at home for a lovely all round sensory experience.

Check out the curator Kate Goodwin talking about the exhibition in this video.
