Being a super starchitect I know everyone has been to one of his buildings, even with out knowing it.
You'd not be surprised to know that I really enjoy his public buildings because of their well considered proportions and quite plainly the buildings ability to allow public activities to organically become realised with in the spaces.
Some of my personal favourites:
2008 Za-Koenji Public Theatre, Tokyo. The form of this building follows its acoustic function. Visible from the train, this funny wee structure covered in black plastic does not stick out nearly as much as first expected on the sky line but cuts quite an imposing facade on the street level.
2003 Natsumoto Performing Arts Centre, Nagano. The big brother of the public theatre in Tokyo, this building is a beautiful experiment in creating defused but uniform natural light with in the building.
2002 Serpentine Gallery, London. Jolly good spot of summer fun. What? what? Pass the Pimms...
1997 Dome in Odate, Akita. Freaking gotta love a MASSIVE space frame #structures are rad
