This super hotel was designed by Australian architects Techne. This extension to the existing hotel started life as a stack of 17 oversized concrete tubes.

Although the overall footprint of this building is quite large, the cleverly considered spaces are both physically created by the tubes and aesthetically realized by the designers. The intricate wall finishes and flawless choice of materials lends to a feeling in intimacy and closeness, complete with nooks and crannies for speakeasy style tight talking.
With a bar on each of the 3 levels, the venue can cater to all. The environment is a contemporary relaxed atmosphere that is only achieved with the correct combination of reclamation and modern touches.
This bar is definitely a unique addition to the evolving Melbourne pub scene.
