Criticising Criticism

I enjoyed reading this article today by Joseph Rykwert.

It's a little ditty trying to figure out the role and place of the architecture critic. He lives in hope that 'operative criticism at its highest valuation might establish a fruitful dialogue between critics and those who are actively involved in the creation of our environment.'

Maybe you'll like it too.
